Empowering Youth Through Free Photography & Videography Training | Jun 13, 2026

About this Activity

AWDORG Foundation conducted a dedicated Media Center of Excellence (MCE) awareness and outreach activity in Giri Nagar, Kalkaji to connect deserving children and young people with free skill-development opportunities.

The activity was carried out during the peak summer period, when the weather conditions were extremely hot. Despite the strong heat and challenging outdoor conditions, the team continued its outreach efforts with determination, visiting the local area and interacting directly with children, youth and community members. The purpose was simple but meaningful: to make sure that lack of awareness, financial limitations or difficult circumstances do not stop young people from discovering opportunities that can improve their future.

Through the Media Center of Excellence, AWDORG Foundation offers free-of-cost photography and videography courses, giving students a chance to learn practical and creative skills without any financial burden. The programme introduces them to areas such as camera handling, photography techniques, videography basics, framing, lighting, visual storytelling and hands-on media practice.

During the outreach activity, flyers, posters and information sheets were distributed among approximately 20 participants. The team explained the course structure, registration process and learning benefits, while encouraging interested youth to enrol and make use of the free training opportunity.

This campaign was not limited to distributing promotional material. It reflected the Foundation’s larger commitment to working on the ground, reaching communities directly and helping young people build a stronger tomorrow. By stepping out even in difficult weather conditions, AWDORG Foundation demonstrated that meaningful social work often requires persistence, personal effort and a willingness to go where the need exists.

The outreach also helped create a direct connection with the local community, allowing the Foundation to spread awareness, answer questions and encourage young people to explore practical skill-based learning opportunities. Such face-to-face interaction plays an important role in reaching students who may otherwise remain unaware of free educational and training programmes available to them.

For many deserving students, access to professional photography and videography training can otherwise remain out of reach due to course fees, lack of guidance or limited exposure. By offering these courses completely free of cost, AWDORG Foundation aims to remove such barriers and provide students with a platform where they can learn, practise, build confidence and explore future opportunities in photography, videography and digital media.

Through initiatives like this, AWDORG Foundation continues to work towards a better tomorrow for young people, ensuring that talent and ambition are given an opportunity to grow, regardless of financial background.
