On 27 September 2026, AWD Foundation, in collaboration with Taj Hotel, organized an outdoor practical training session in photography and videography for students of the Media Center of Excellence (MCE) at Lodhi Garden, New Delhi. Around 40 participants took part in the activity, which was planned to give students valuable hands-on experience in a real outdoor shooting environment.

During the session, students received practical exposure to key areas of photography and videography, including camera handling, framing, composition, lighting, subject positioning, movement, and real-location shooting techniques. They were encouraged to observe their surroundings carefully and understand how natural light, backgrounds, angles, distance, and camera movement can affect the quality and visual impact of photographs and videos. Students also learned how to adjust their approach according to changing outdoor conditions, which is an important part of professional media production.

The participants practiced using different types of equipment such as cameras, gimbals, tripods, mobile phones, memory cards, batteries, and other photography and videography tools. The session allowed them to apply the concepts they had previously learned in the classroom and gain confidence in independently handling equipment during actual shoots.

The collaboration with Taj Hotel added further value to the activity by contributing to a professionally oriented learning experience for the students. The outdoor session also promoted teamwork, creativity, communication, observation, discipline, and problem-solving skills, as students worked together in different shooting situations and learned from one another.

Overall, the activity was completed successfully and served as an important practical learning opportunity for MCE students. It helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application while strengthening their technical and creative abilities in photography and videography.
